This St. Patrick’s Day the Brevard Symphony will feature the music of two American composers who celebrated Ireland with orchestral works. The Gaelic Symphony was first premiered by the Boston Symphony in 1896, and composed by one of the foremost composers of her era, Amy Beach.  Percy Grainger also saluted the Irish heritage with his Irish Tune from County Derry. Violinist Andrew Sords will be featured on Dvorák’s exquisite violin concerto.
